Karboon Smart A24
Samsung was the first to make an endeavor to combine phone and tablet to make a tablet which stands between smartphone and Tablet. They introduced Samsung Galaxy Note. Now following the footstep of Samsung, Karboon is all set to introduce India’s first tablet named Karboon Smart A24. The tablet is set to release by the end of August, 2012.
Karboon Smart A24 is also the first phone to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is the upgraded version of Ice Cream Sandwich. So it will also be the first Indian Tab-Phone to receive Jelly Bean OS. The screen of the tablet is 4.5 inch touch screen with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution. But then one might think that even Smartphones have such big screen or even more bigger then this. HTC One X has 4.7 and Samsung Galaxy S3 has 4.8 inch.
Samsung Galaxy Note has huge screen 5.3 inch which became its biggest disadvantage as well. As it was practically impossible to use such a large phone for calling. I think Karboon has taken cue from it and kept the screen size decent enough to handle while calling.
Other specification includes 1.2GHz dual core processor, 8MP rear camera along with LED feature. There is also a front facing camera for video calling,wi-fi, 3G, GPS and other standard Android sensors.
For now only this much specification are available will update as more details are released by the company. The price of the Karboon Smart A24 should be competitive. Though the screen is a little small if compared to much larger screen smartphone but it is good for those people who don’t want to carry a tablet and mobile together and also who requires the functionality of both. I think tablet are specially designed for such people. How good it is will be known from the review of Karboon Smart A24
